By-Laws
The
Hat Ladies of Lycoming County
is a cHApTer of the
national organization, The Hat Ladies, LLC. It is
open for ladies of all ages and backgrounds. We are open to membership without
a predetermined number of members in a group. We are known for our camaraderie
and community service. We are elegant, graceful and respectful of the
traditions of hat wearing. The Hat Ladies of Lycoming County are
not fund-raisers, but fun raisers.
Purpose:
To gather "like-headed" women who love to wear hats of all types, and give them
the confidence and fun, yet meaningful occassions to do so. Our mantra is
"Fashion With Compassion". We believe that is you look good, you will do good
and you will feel good.
Our "Meet and Eat" will be held on the second Saturday of each month (excluding
March & June) at a predetermined place. Reservations (by email or telephone) or
cancellations (by telephone only) must be made by the Wednesday prior to the
luncheon. Any charges incurred by not canceling on time will be passed on to
the member.
Dues:
$20.00 per year and are due in May. Checks should be made out to The Hat
Ladies. You may be a guest at one luncheon prior to joining. No other
reservation will be made until you become a member prior to making it. Although
you may join throughout the year, annual dues will be collected again in May.
Out of town guests are welcomed and encouraged. Members will have first seating
if seating is limited.
If you do not have email, you should submit 12 self addressed, self sealing
envelopes and $5.00 to cover the cost of Xeroxing.
