We are planning many activities for the up & coming year.  Please email me or telephone me if you have any ideas for programs.  I tend to forget who told me what at our meetings as I have so much to attend to.
CROWNS, a wonderful musical about hats is coming back for a summer run in Washington, D.C. @ The Kreeger Theater.  Check it out on our links on our website, www.hatladieslycoming.org.  If anyone is interested in going down to see it, we can get tickets together and make all the arrangements.  Please let me know if you are interested.  It is a four hour trip and we could do it in one day, going to a matinee.  I plan to go to the matinee on August 8th @ 2pm.  The tickets (orchestra) are about $60.  Let me know ASAP if you want to join me.  These hat queens of the south wear all kinds of hats, one that flirt, scold, praise, show power & grieve woven into their soulful, spiritual, joyful music.  You will love it.
HAT CHAT:  I could hear wonderful compliments along the route when we were promenading.  Memories of mothers, aunts and teachers and friends who used to wear hats came to their bare heads.  Everyone loved them!  And didn't the men look smashing?  WOW!  It was fun to see the granddaughters there too.  I am starting a Hat Lady in Training picture section on our Website.  If you have any pictures of your daughters, granddaughters, etc with hats on, please give me a copy and I will include them.
A HAT FULL OF PRAYERS:
To Ellie Snauffer who is having knee surgery.  We hope she will be well enough to attend the next luncheon.
To Deb Muthler whose Mother is not well.
Hot Hatpennings:
There are so many wonderful events to wear your hats to and remember they keep the sun off your beautiful faces!
AUGUST 14TH MEET & EAT:  BULLFROG BREWERY
Don't forget to make your luncheon reservation.  We are going to have a great time.  There are wonderful little shops on the green that you won't want to miss.
