Subject: The Hat Ladies December 2004 Newsletter

My Fair Hat Ladies, November was a gorgeous month in the beautiful state of Pennsylvania.  Hats off to Louise Eakin and her staff at Valley View.  I got rave reviews for the excellent food and everyone had a terrific time promenading with the guests.
Please check out our website, www.hatladieslycoming.org. for pictures that were graciously taken by Deb Thomas in my absence.  My son, John, the webmaster, was so taken by Deb's enthusiasm, that he posted them immediately upon receipt.
I hope you all had a Thanksgiving stuffed with love and blessings.
As Archie wrote in her newsletter, there is HAT in Thanksgiving & I am THAnkful for all my Hat Lady Friends.
DECEMBER 11TH Meet & Eat:  1200 noon @ The Genetti Hotel in Williamsport. It will be a buffet.  Cost is $10.00 (which includes tax & tip).  Come ready to tell your best hat stories.  Instead of exchanging gifts, you can donate a gift of time to someone you know.  Can you spare a few minutes to visit a shut in or call someone who may be lonely during this busy season?  You can make a difference!  You can choose your time & your project.  Let's see how many minutes we can give away this Christmas or Chanukah?  Let us share our wealth!  Make a difference!
Reservations:  must be made by Tuesday,  December 7th.
Please remember that you may make reservations by email or telephone, but cancellations should be done by telephoning me @ 570-546-2012 or 570-974-1020.  If I do not respond within 24 hrs of your sending email, please resubmit.  Thank you.
Reminder:  Please pay for your lunch at the front desk as you enter and receive a ticket.  Put the ticket by your seat and the waitress will collect them.  Keep half for door prizes.
Jeannette Steumple has expressed a desire to pull out her vintage furs and wear them.  Some of our ladies have decided to wear them at the December Meet & Eat.  Maybe they will hold some interesting stories.  So if you have some, now will be a good time to bring them out of the closet….after all, they are already dead!!!!!
A TIP OF THE HAT TO  Mary Lou Maxwell Moore & Emily Confair (special guests), Lil VanCampen, Bev Ellis, Gail Landers, Jessica Lalli, Esther Morris, Chris Lisowski, Mary Tennant, Tricia Mauelen, Jean Steinbacher, Barb Weaver,  Priscilla Dibble, Carmella Preziosi, Carol Kline, Jane Hart, Nessie Whaley, and Cindy Craddock who modeled at The Victorian Christmas Luncheon.  Where was the Sun's photographer?  He/she missed a real Kodak moment.
